Can Acorn use step and direction for spindle

Post by thomsl@mac.com »

Is it possible for the Acorn to use step and direction to drive an AC Servo so it can be used as a spindle motor?

AC Servo motor -AASD 1.8 KW

Thanks for your comments and ideas.

no, but its on the to do list.

others have used 0-10 and cw/ccw direction change input on the drive.

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Why not use a motor & drive designed for both velocity and position?
