I uninstalled The #6 probe detect and probe trip from input definitions and rebooted.
Tested MPG will not drive Z axis if MDI is running. It does work if MDI is not running.
Reset this twice to be sure.
PLC DIAGNOSTIC:
#7 is green when probe is unplugged 6 is red

MPG malfunction
Today the MPG stopped functioning in Z mode when MDI is in use. Works fine If MDI NOT RUNNING Shutdown and restart did not help. I tried various speeds and different MDI words but same result. The input from MPG to move Z axis only does not function while a MDI cmd is running.

Re: Install swap out Acorn board
The board was replaced because it was acting erratically. Initially when I wanted to remove the power from the stepper motors to enable hand cranking it would not remove power from the X axis, which I overcame by unplugging at the X motor controller.(ENA+&-).Then I noticed that probing was ...

Install swap out Acorn board
The following is for G0678 mill with Acorn previously installed but needed a replacement board. Running WIN11 on dedicated desktop. I was very happy with previous operations.
This to replace in a machine that was previously operating satisfactorily ( except for later due to board damage).
I want ...

Re: ENA +/- on G0678
What is the parameter number and what should it be set at for this ENA to function correctly? Is that an area to check?
Seems like nothing else has pointed to the cause.

Re: ENA +/- on G0678
Machine powered and at HOME
ENA is unplugged
EN1 to ground is 78.9 led grn
EN2 23.59. Red
Estop tripped
En1. 89.2 grn. Voltage very slowly decays
En2. 23.65 red
ENA PLUGGED IN
En1 is 88.5 grn
En2 is 23.65 red
Estop tripped and reset
Reading are same

Re: ENA +/- on G0678
Step 2
The ENA was not inverted to start with.
So used wizard to invert and save changes
Then voltage was read.
If this is incorrect , Send me instructions of exactly what you want and I’ll re check these readings
Thanks

Re: ENA +/- on G0678
I think my reply got lost
Step 2
I inverted X axis
Shut down wizard and cnc12
Restart cnc12
Then take voltage readings
Left inverted. Tried axis drive with/without ENA plugged in ( just incase something happened), no change.
