MPG malfunction

Post by joedexter »

Today the MPG stopped functioning in Z mode when MDI is in use. Works fine If MDI NOT RUNNING Shutdown and restart did not help. I tried various speeds and different MDI words but same result. The input from MPG to move Z axis only does not function while a MDI cmd is running.
Any idea how to get this working normally again?
Thanks

hello.

i would uninstall the Probe (pull the detect and trigger inputs from the Wizard input menu) it using the Wizard. reboot and try the WMPG again.

I uninstalled The #6&#7 probe detect and probe trip from input definitions and rebooted.
Tested MPG will not drive Z axis if MDI is running. It does work if MDI is not running.
Reset this twice to be sure.
PLC DIAGNOSTIC:
#7 is green when probe is unplugged 6 is red
#6 is green when probe is plugged in 7 is red
# lights alternate when probe is triggered.

That is the correct behavior. You have to escape out of the MDI screen to use the MPG.
Cheers,
