What is this talk about the updated Acorn and its no DB25 technology onboard?

Is this going to affect the older boards and the updates for utilizing the DB25 port on the Acorn (for older ones of course)?

There is a way to "debrick" the board and flash a new controller firmware to it.

I have been reading about the same ideas. My current lathe has a cross slide (of course) and the cross slide is not "beefy" enough to promote deep drilling or boring. I will also need to figure out a way to do something with the tailstock outside of the cross slide.

It seems the laser is not actually liking your arrangement. I see crosshair marks when the laser gantry is traversing instead of the laser pausing until next fire.

I know the mirror alignment is an issue with a lot of people. I will review my older paperwork on their manual. I will see if I have an electronic copy somewhere. I will report the findings soon, i.e. as the mirror are fickle with adjustments.
