WMPG Shared between two machines

Post by eman5oh »

Can an extra usb receiver be purchased for the WMPG so I can use it with two different machines? I would only have one in use and powered up at a time, each machine has it's own computer and separate Acorn's. I am guessing the WPG is paired with a specific receiver and this would likely not work but I though I would ask.

each transmitter/receiver has its own freq matched to the hand unit so you can run 100 wmpg's in the same room and not have cross talk

Hello,
The simple way to share WMPG is switch the USB lead from one CNC PC to the other PC.

You need to switch the USB lead before starting CNC 12.

To save constant switching of leads - get a USB switchover device - preferably a simple mechanical one if you can find one.

(These used to be common for DB25 in the old days for printer sharing).
