Tips for installing spindel encoder on my Acorn converted Deckel conversion

Anyone have some suggestion on how to install a spindle encoder on this type of milling head?

Do you have a drawing of the milling head?

On the first sight maybe under the grey cap on top could be a place to mount a timingbeltpulley.

That looks like a pneumatic power drawbar, so it's quite possible there's no place you could fit an encoder. If the right angle(?) drive to the vertical head were 1:1 ratio, perhaps you could fit one on the horizontal drive shaft, or fit a drive pulley for one. You probably won't know what's possible without drawings or dismantling what you've got.
