Can I use a 48v meanwell with the acorn - How do I wire it up?
Can I use a 48v meanwell power supply with the acorn - How do I wire it up? Do I run the stepper drives only with 48v and the acorn itself with the small power supply included?

Thanks, I watched the video. I must be a dummy, I saw nothing in it about using a 48v power supply

Re: Can I use a 48v meanwell with the acorn - How do I wire it up?
Answer is No.
Use the included power supply or similar with Acorn and inputs. Acorn runs on 24VDC. Use your 48V with for your stepper motor power.

Thanks, I figured that out, but my wiring is wrong. 48v ---> 2dm860h (power into ac1/ac2), connection:
dir- H2 DR1
DIR+

Re: Can I use a 48v meanwell with the acorn - How do I wire it up?
Please help, I have gone as far as I can with my brain, and the documentation. I have 3 steppers and drivers as shown with acorn contr., and a second power supply - 48v to run the motors. i get no motor movement, but the software works fine and recognizes the limit switch , but no stepper movement. PLESE EXAMINE MY DRAWING, AND POST A CLUE FOR ME - PELASE.

Those look like Leadshine, or one of its clones. Connect to the drive as per the Leadshine schematic that is provided. You will also need to set step pulse rate to 100khtz. You may want to try that first.
If you wish to answers rather than guesses, post the drives hardware/installation manual

Re: Can I use a 48v meanwell with the acorn - How do I wire it up?
Have you looked at the Acorn wiring diagram for those drivers? If not you need to download them I'm pretty sure those drivers need to use the DB25 with a DB25 breakout board. I'm sure someone will chime in on which diagram to use. Here's the link to the downloads for the schematics if you don't have them.
