Probe status indicator in vcp

Post by cryptonym »

I have a probe that uses normally closed config. I'd like to show the status on the vcp. When it is disconnected, it appears as triggered however. The PLC logic uses both detect and trigger in determining what to do, but I can't find a way to not have the disconnected state appear as a detection.

Has anyone done this? I'd love if the vcp could both change the image based on detect value, AND change the corner light state for trigger, but it appears that isn't supported.

I'd like this so I can manually flick it for a quick confirmation all is working.

Yes, you can do this.

Also. Look in the probing screen in cnc12 you'll see a very large graphic that gives you a big indication of the probe state.
