I have been reading up on encoders.
Can someone help me with understanding if all of these outputs are usable with Acorn? I am fairly certain RS422 at 5vdc is correct but I do not understand these output terms: RS422+alarm, RS422+sense, push-pull, and complimentary.
EDIT:Also, seeing a lot of encoders with an N channel. Is this the same as a z channel?

Differential, line driver output. 5vdc
2000 lines per rev
Other than trying to save a buck, I'm not sure what the confusion is.
The Chinese Omron is in the states so maybe I can connectorize, test it and report back.

Re: More encoder questions?
I was looking at information from Hengstler encoders. No confusion. I don't understand the terms and what they mean as they apply to encoders.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 9:01 pm Automationdirect.com or Centroid

Re: More encoder questions?
I got the Omron encoder in the mail yesterday. I just got back in town today. I peeled the box out of the yellow Chinese packing tape. Will try and do a video of an unboxing, connectorizing and test on Monday 10/30martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 9:01 pm Automationdirect.com or Centroid
