machine units <inches to mm answered>

Post by zgkonig »

Hi friends, I'm new to this and I need help
I have installed the new version of cnc12mill 4.18 and the problem occurs when changing the machine units in acorn wizard from inches to millimeters, the speed of advance of the steper motor is reduced very strong when changing to millimeters, this did not happen with version 4.12, the drivers I use isleadshine M860 and stepper motors

Your machine is set up in Inches. Can you explain further what is going on? Is it a particular G code program that you run? By "Engines" do you mean the axis motors? SPindle motor?

Pictures/video and the G code program you are trying to run might be helpful.

if you switch to MM in the Wizard, any setting in inches has to be converted to MM. It does not auto convert when you choose MM. when you choose MM you are telling the wizard that all your values are in MM. so if you configured for example the Fast and Slow jog in inches per minute 100 ipm and 10 ipm for example and then switched to MM in the Wizard, you need to go update the Fast and Slow jog numbers.. multiple by 25.4 so for example Fast jog was 100 ipm x 25.4mm/inch = 2540 mm/min etc.. here is a video about it... viewtopic.php?f=61&t=2942
