Everything was working fine on acorn but a piece of metal fell on the power cord cutting it into the metal was laying against the machine Repaired the cord Now the blue LED does not come on any suggestions

When you say "no blue LED" do you mean the power indicator on the BBG (the blue light near the RJ45 connector) or the Acorn board itself (in corner between the H3 and H5 headers of the rev3 boards )? Either of those would indicate that they are not getting power. If neither are on, are you sure your power supply is still outputting the 24VDC required? Might want to check with a volt-meter. If the Acorn light is on but the BBG is not, then the BBG isn't getting power from the Acorn. If that is the case, remove the BBG and try powering it via the micro USB port (5VDC) and see if the power light comes on. Those would be my first steps.

Update since the post used Martys video and rebooted the firmware the acorn has a heartbeat now but the yellow ethernet LED is solid not blinking any help will be appreciated thank you for your response

Checked all the settings in the PC the we are hooked to the Internet through the ethernet cable the is ok

I found myself in that situation recently as well and once I replaced the BBG board with a new one and had the firmware loaded on it, communications started working right away. You may have damaged the network adapter on the BBG with the power surge/cut. I wish I could help you out more, but that's my best suggestion.

You can get them from many sources but I bought mine from Amazon
