Thanks for the schematics.

Note that the 'Inverting' cable sent with TT-4 (for Hickory) results in Hickory seeing an untriggered input as open, and a triggered input as closed.

So despite TT-4 being an (NC) component, it appears to Hickory as (NO).

Unfortunately, if 'TT-4" is selected in Hickory Wizard, then the input pin triggered state is pre-defined as "OPEN" and is not user-adjustable.

The only workaround I've found is to select "Mechanical Switch" type tool setter and set the input triggered state to CLOSED.

TT-4 connected/disconnected signal & logic work as expected.

I still don't understand why the non-inverting cable for Acorn/6 wont work with Hickory inputs... did not receive a reply to my last email asking this, so I wired it up according to the schematic and lied to the Wizard.

This workaround is the correct way to set up a KP-3 or TT-4 with inverting cable when using a Hickory.

We are aware of the confusion this causes and updating the Hickory Wizard to match the supplied cables for Hickory probe/TT kits. This will be available in an upcoming release of the software.

Thank you for the confirmation. First installation and I'm trying very hard to follow the 'official' instructions and not color outside the lines with wiring and configuration ;)
