I downloaded MotionStudio and uncompressed it. The help file seems to be in Chinese and without that I was lost. I went through all the menu choices, but of course they depend on a connection being established. I searched Google for another source for MotionStudio, but was unable to find anything. I do appreciate your help
Correction, I just went back to make sure and there is a HELP folder with 2 sub folders CN and EN. The EN folder is empty. The README.txt file is jibberish
Ewe, I used different search words and found instructions on connectimg MotionStudio to Leadshine Servo drives, so at least have a better clue to get started.

I started double-checking all my wiring and did find a couple of loose coonections on Y VCC and EA+ I snuggled them back in and tested, but no change.
I pulled the Y CL57T and took some clearer (I think) pictures of everything. Maybe someone can see something in the pictures.
I'm about to put one of the original "HSC-57"S back in on Y to see if anything changes.
Something seems systematically wrong since none of the motors turn. The global changes were the CL57T V41's and the cable connectors. They were straight through and I implemented M12 Aviation Wire Connectors through the side panel of the control box. You can probably see them in some of the pictures.

Are you positive that you have the encoder wires correct? I've use the Leadshine version of that drive (with their cables) several times, and the order of the wire colors are white, red, blue, black, green, yellow. Your greens and yellows are reversed.

Connect the supplied cable to the stepper and a serial port of a PC.
Select the used com port in motion studio and you are ready to go.
If you have only USB use a USB to Serial adapter like this one:
I have CL86 drives. Wiring should be about the same as yours. as mentioned you have two encoder wires switched. Looks like you dont have enables wired. They will work without alarm wired. Attachin an image of the wiring into my drive. The yellows are +24VDC. the Acorn grounds to activate the item of concern IIRC.

Mike

Sword, Ken,
I swapped out the yellow and green encoder wires as you suggested. mounted the CL57 back to the ground plane, powered up the Acorn, loaded CNC12. The Y axis locks up as always but I don't get any movement when I click Y+ or Y- on the CNC12 screen.
Mike, I disconnected the Enable and Power due to a previous suggestion.
I will reconnect them and see if I get any change.
THANKS guys, I do appreciate you!
