Re: Rigid Tapping on my PM-25
Thank for the response. Yes, the KBSI is a signal isolator. I have a stock DC 750w motor and the KBSI-240 takes power from the Acorn 10v output, which is tweaked from 0vdc to 5vdc. The Acorn relays are wired for the forward and reverse direction.

Rigid Tapping on my PM-25
I'm wanting to do rigid tapping on my Acorn equipped PM-25. I have an 2000 per encoder to install and I am presently using the KBSI-240 for my spindle control, which works fairly well for most of my milling.

Re: Complete PM-25 Acorn CNC mill.
Well, I convinced my wife that I couldn't get a decent price for my CNC milling machine. So I guess I'll keep it.

In fact, I just bought a lathe that I'm hoping will cut down on the chips I track into the house.

DMM DYN4 spindle upgrade
I would like to upgrade the spindle on my PM-25 to the DMM DYN4 servo. I have read and reviewed the videos and comments about system upgrades or new installs using the DMM DYN4. I understand the procedure for a system upgrade, but since I will not be adding a new axis I'm confused about enabling ...

Complete PM-25 Acorn CNC mill.
I am considering the sale of my PM-25 CNC milling machine. My wife has put up with chips in house until she threatens a killing. I built this Acorn controlled system early last year and it works just fine. I have many extras like TTS holders, a 5" vise and a 4" vise. I thinking $5k picked up locally ...

Re: Centroid reverses the Y direction when using setup feature
Holy cow. That's way I had it to start with! My homing switch was mounted near the X table homing switch. My problem is the way part setup software treats the probe trying probe Y starting positive side moving negative. Trying start positive side will move positive rather up across the part towards ...

Re: Centroid reverses the Y direction when using setup feature
Thanks for reply. I just this morning moved my Y homing switch towards the positive part of the table from the negative as I had it. I changed to Y homing in Wizard from 91 to 92. Y will not home towards the switch. From the PLC the positive arrow moves the Y negative and the plus moves negative ...

Centroid reverses the Y direction when using setup feature
When I use the Centroid part setup utility, I must place actual probe in the opposite direction the software indicates the travel to be. For example, if I have the probe sitting positive side to travel to the negative I must reverse the software selection to the negative traveling to the positive ...

Re: WCS G54 Z axis not correct after setting part Z axis
Sorry to hear about your issue, but at the same time my PM25 is doing the exact same thing. My machines homes just fine. I've used ALL the possible methods of setting tool offsets, touch off device, reference tool, and Z-homing. I've used a spindle probe to set part x,y,z and ran the program and ...

Re: Fusion 360 program & my PM25
I use the inside upper corners of my vise probing the inside and outside edges for WSC54. I was checking again this morning and I remembered initially setup my PM25 CNC conversion to -Y being to the column side of the machine. Realizing this was wrong, I didn't know of a way to correct this mistake ...
