MDI Spindle input not working (Error code: 5038) <resolved>

Hey guys,

this is almost too embarrassing, but i cant get it to work. I've just upgraded my spindle to a water-cooled one. Set the parameters accordingly in the VFD (the cheap Huanyang one) and the wizard.
Now i can run the spindle in manual mode no problem.
In manual mode i get a warning telling me the spindle speed is lower than the input command (5038: specified spin speed < min spin speed). Nevertheless the spindle runs perfectly fine and i can up/down the rpm without fuzz.
But using the MDI to set spindle speed does nothing.
Likely i set something wrong, but for the love of me i cant figure it out!

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Raph.

Please post a fresh zip report and a pdf of your wizard config (ctrl+p on any page in the wizard).

try giving it a speed with the m3 in the mdi. (m3 s12000) or whatever rpm you want it to run. Report or screen shots of your spindle wizard info would help.

Go back into the Wizard and check your spindle speeds. You cannot run at less than the minimum entered here. Put simply, the system will always default to this minimum where you enter a lower speed

Oh well. I fixed it. Thanks for the suggestions but i couldn't narrow it down. I reset the whole system and reconfigured the VFD. Now everything runs smoothly.

Thanks anyways. Always really glad to know there is a crowd out there being as helpful as you are.

Cheers and have a wonderful weekend. I have some chips to cut! - at last.
