Anyone successful at making a cnc4pc touchprobe work with the acorn? I tried the cnc12 probe setup booklet, but that didnt get me there

What kind of issues are you having? Please show how you wired it up and attach a current report from your machine.
Does the light on the probe toggle as expected but no change in Acorn inputs?

I wired it as the cnc4pc diagram show when using a c48 board and i get the probe led to light when lighlty touched and the "collision relay to trip on the c48, but no probe trip led in centroid diag viewer.
I am assuming this probe has no internal detection circuit, but that may be wrong

I have input set as probe tripped on input 3 and set as probe detect with a poor mans detection connection to input 4

It seems to me that the probe is conducting enough through the LED when tripped to keep the Acorn input closed. The 1.2kOhm resistor in parallel with the internal pullup is not helping in that case. The last page of the
CNC4PC probe manual says that you should try wiring it backwards. That will stop the LED from working but you will get the correct signal at the controller.
A word of warning about wiring it backwards: most LEDs are specified for 5V reverse voltage and I've seen some that don't give reverse blocking voltage specs at all so be wary. That may be why the CNC4PC probe manual suggests opening it up and cutting the connection.
