Micro step with Stepperonline?

So I just converted a PM30 and using steppers from Stepperonline and wonder if anyone can suggest a good starting point for the microstep setting, the default is 1600 I believe but SOL list 2000 on there test graph.Then in one of the post about Microstep recommends 2000-8000 for closed loop DC.

Also, when you push the X axis positive travel what direction should the table move?

My preference would be 1600, maybe even 3200. Never 2000. Read online about the negatives of tenth microstepping.

X positive should move the table left
