C86ACCP Slave axis

I just bought the C86ACCP board and it in shipping now. Question on the Y slave. It appears to me that I can run it as a hardware slave with separate control or as a shared reverse wiring that would then let the board give you an A axis. Am I reading that correctly. I am curios because I have the Avid cnc and was wanting a rotary 4th axis eventually. I am also running the long cables cut in half, 22.5’ and no resistor and am not having any problems....

I just noticed this post. The C86ACCP has connections for five ClearPath motors. You can drive the X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis and the A-axis. In addition, you can add a slave motor to either the X-axis or the Y-axis. That means that you can run the Avid router, that has X, Y, and Z axes, with a slave on the X or Y (I call the long axis the X-axis because of my familiarity with the Shopbot PRT-Alpha router). You can also run an indexer or A-axis (Acorn license upgrade required.)
