Jog panel buttons don’t match axis.

Post by george1963 »

When pushing the jog button X., the Z motor axis moves. Pushing Y button, the X axis moves. Push Z button the Y axis moves. I Have tryed changing different axis setting in the wizard. It does not change jog panel to match the axis.
I have Z motor wired to ST1, X motor to ST2, Y motor to ST3.
No touch monitor

Wire X to ST1, Y to St2 and Z to St3 and try that

Please provide a screenshot of the Wizard Axis configuration
If a Mill
Axis 1 should be X
Axis 2 should be Y
Axis 3 should be Z

I looked at your report, it looks like you have:
Axis 1=Z
Axis 2=X
Axis 3=Y

Please post the screen shot and or let us know what you have setup.
Marty

I removed cnc12. Then reinstalled and set it up X, Y, Z. still no change. The X jog moves the Z axis. Y moves the X axis. Z moves the Y axis. Here is screen shot.

If the stepper motors need to be wired in specified spot, on the acorn board. Why did it not show on the wiring schematics?

No Screen shot from the WIZARD AXIS TAB Please

You're report looks correct now.
Since we can't SEE how you wired each stepper drive to Acorn, please tell us.
Which terminals on Acorn that drives motor/drive that moves the table left right (X axis) did you hook up to?
Which terminals on Acorn that drives motor/drive that moves the table front back (y axis) did you hook up to?
Which terminals on Acorn that drives motor/drive tha moves the head up and down (z axis) did you hook up to?

X motor drive should be connected to ST1/DR1
Y motor drive should be connected to ST2/DR2
Z motor drive should be connected to ST3/DR3

OR Are you connected to the DB25 connector. You don't supply pictures or enough information for us to help. We can't "SEE" how you have things wired so you have to explain or show us with pictures.

I'm thinking you don't have your axis motor drives connected properly to Acorn.
