This is telling you that the actual rpm is 0
Read out from the spindle encoder.

This refers to which mode the spindle in: Auto or Manual
If you see an A that means it's in "Auto" and M means "Manual."

The number may be the actual RPM from the spindle encoder (if you have a spindle encoder configured and you have set P78 bit 0 = 1); or it may be the commanded RPM (if you do not use a spindle encoder).

Re: Explain the value that displayed by the Spindle: ? A
The RPM of the spindle motor as I suspected.
But it's significantly in error. I measured the spindle motor's actual RPM using a reliable optical tachometer. The displayed RPM is approximately 2.2x the actual measured RPM.
Any ideas about how to correct this error?

Is the actual measured RPM lower than what is expected? There could be any one of a number of causes.
It'll be easiest for us to troubleshoot if you can provide:
A report from CNC12 with the current settings you are trying
Whether or not you have an encoder on the spindle
Details on any reduction from motor to spindle
Expected spindle max and min RPM including motor nameplate max RPM
VFD make and model number

Here's the information:
A report from CNC12 with the current settings you are trying I ran the report, but I can't attach the ZIP file. How to proceed?
Whether or not you have an encoder on the spindle: Yes. Photo attached
Details on any reduction from motor to spindle Yes. Motor 1 : 1.16 Spindle
Expected spindle max and min RPM including motor nameplate max
Motor max 6,000 RPM Specification name plate image attached
Max Spindle RPM desired ~ 6,000 RPM
Min Spindle RPM desired ~ 500 RPM
VFD make and model number

Re: Explain the value that displayed by the Spindle: ? A
Since you are unable to post a Report, maybe you could tell us:
1) Your value from Parameter 78?
2) Your value from Parameter 34?
3) Your value from Parameter 36?
4) The number you have entered for "Max spindle (high range)" on the Control Configuration table?
Also, given your current configuration of the spindle drive, how fast will it turn the motor if given a 10V reference command?
Does the other side of the encoder label (not pictured) give any indication of the number of lines (pulses, cycles) per revolution?

Re: Explain the value that displayed by the Spindle: ? A
It also appears that the encoder is connected to the drive and not the spindle. How is the motor connected to the spindle?
Cheers,
Tom
