voltage difference between book numbers and actual Hypertherm

Post by cardin3 »

I did some 2-inch sq test cuts in 10-gauge mild steel set the profile to the Hypertherm book numbers for speed, feed, cut height and voltage. the voltage in the book says 138 volts. the actual voltage is about 85 volts. looking for some advice from those of you that know about the Hypertherm sync 45
thanks
Mike

Have you ran the Torch Calibration Job yet?

The Torch Calibration will calibrate your THC Voltage readings to the Hypertherm Profile Voltages

OMG, I can't believe I forgot to do that!! I'm sure that would make one heck of a difference. I'll do that first thing as I wanted to do some test cuts today. Thank you so much
Mike
