One reason could be that the probe shorts with a broken wire...

Its a basic 2 wire touch off. However, when the error occurred, the software shut down when I hit cycle start to begin the tool measurement. It never got to the tool touch off.

I've been unable to replicate the error since.

thanks, we've been looking into this for a few days now.. we can not get is to happen

At this point I did a full delete and re-install, and it has gone away.

Hello. I have just updated to V4.80 and I have the VCP which is no longer displayed.

I also just realized that all my tool data has disappeared... is there a way to recover them or do I have to redo them all?

you can copy the tool lib from the old installation to the new 4.8

4.8 needs the newest updates for windows
