Ok, that worked. Should the axis led be green when I move the axis or red or does even matter. I should have tried that earlier but I was hung up with the enable setting. Thanks for all your help Marty.

I assume you are referring to the Enable LED. It inverts when you check the ENABLE box or UNCHECK it in the Advanced tab
While it worked, we need to figure out why.....

I’m talking about the axis led on the Acorn board.

The only LED on the Acorn board next to the header terminal block for Each axis is the Enable LED. Look closely, its next to the EN terminal.
Watch Keith's video on Acorn LED explanation

What Kieth is showing in this video is exactly what I'm asking you. Does it matter that the axis led turns red when I move the axis? If check active low in DMM and also check enable box in advanced settings the led turns green when I move the axis. If I uncheck active low and uncheck enable the led turns red when I move the axis. When Kieth moves the Y axis in this video it turns green on the led. Mine the way I have everything it turns red. I'm thrilled everything is working don't get me wrong.

All you are doing is inverting the Enable pin. The LED coincides with either a high or a low.
What matters is what the drive needs for it's enable circuit. High or low. If you have motor movement, then leave the enable checked or unchecked in the Advanced page as the case may be.

Ok makes sense just wanted to make sure before I carry on with my setup. Thanks again. I will let the guys at DMM know what needs to be done to get the drive to work at 400khz.

Please, do not relay anything to DMM at this point. WE are trying to pinpoint the cause and what needs to be done about it. Centroid is researching the issue. What I had you try was to see if you got motor motion as expected at 400KHZ. SO, please hold off.....

You can certainly move forward with your build, but know you might have to tweak a couple things. We are currently Beta testing the next Rev of software and in this specific case, It appears to be working. DYN2 and DYN4 have been separated in the next revision of software, as they should. In general, DYN2 uses the DB25 port on Acorn while DYN4 uses the headers.

Ok, I'll hold off. I spent more time trying to make it work at 400khz than it took to build my CNC router.

It looks like the next version of software being tested now will separate DYN2 and DYN4 and correct this issue you discovered. Sorry you went through it, but thank you for being persistent!
Do continue to let us know how you make out with your project....
