I have my tool touch-off device (puck) set up and working It scans and set the Z height but I can't find where to set up the thickness of my tool touch-off device. Also, approach feed rates? Is this a parameter setting?

So I selected screw terminal cycled CNC12 and I have motor movement back! YES!!! Thank you. I don't get it I did change that a couple of times but it had no effect?
Question is before I did that I did not uncheck the enable box in the advanced tab. it is currently active. SO do I need to uncheck it now, as I said there is no output for enabled that I know of. In my lathe configuration, the enable box Is not checked.
If you do not have ENAble connected to the drive, changing it will have no effect
I do have enable circuit wired to my drives, the same wiring as your Emco build. So just want to confirm If I leave the enable checkboxes under advanced checked or turn them off?
If the machine is working, leave it alone!

tblough wrote: Tue May 17, 2022 7:50 am Depends. Which way is X+?
X+ is to the left when standing in front of my machine,
Table movement?

What counts is the tool movement, if the table moves to the left, the tool will move to the right in relation to the table.

If the tool move to the right, this is X+ on this kind of mill.

Dont worry I will, LOL! I want to be done : ) Just want to make sure things are right so I dont learn any bad habits by improper machine setup.

Tool touch off height and probing rates can be set in the wizard probing section. If you use the auto zero to plate, note that there's an error in the mfunc44.mac file that causes it to ignore the slow probing rate set in the wizard and uses a default of 1"/minute instead.

Guys trying to get my tool touch finished. Using the provided link to the fixed myfun44 from sword

When scanning for the top of stock I place my tool touch on my stock, the scanning workes fine but the Z height is off by about .75 or so above the stock after the probing. The value (and thickness of the tool touch) is entered into the Z DRO (1.6975) I also have the value set in the tool touch page in wizard. When I GOTO Z0 as said its above the stock by about .75. Whats the issue?

When you say "scanning" do you mean probing?
Please post a picture of the part and your setup. Better yet a video start to finish so we can "see" exactly what you are doing
