my 3rd axis is C

working example to move incremental

Code: Select all

G1 C [#5023+45] F1200
G4 P2
G1 C [#5023+45] F1200
G4 P2
G1 C [#5023-45] F1200
But anyway, there is no need to move incrementally since the absolute position of each position is known...

OK, progress. Tried to use AI2, nada. PWM, nada but I think I know why now.

I then relooked at the manual and there is a jumper which sets Analog Mode to Sink / Source. Never seen this before and to get to the jumper you need to take the front plastic off, its just under and can see it but cant move it without removing the cover.

Now the speed works 100% (no pun intended).

suntravel wrote: Fri Aug 22, 2025 2:12 pm What do you mean with Hz on a 0-10V DC output?

IMHO and from the several resends in your report I think you have noise problems from not proper grounding the shielded wiring.

If the voltage is ok in the bench test the VFD is making the problems.

If the voltage is only fluctuating some percentage use a snubber circuit on the 0-10V line.

Uwe
I was watching the Hz on the VFD Panel as I was making changes (instead of trying to hold a multimeter) as its easy to know if its 25 Hz, its 5V +- etc.

So now after posting public videos with issues on centroid spindle control it comes out that the setup of the VFD was the issue.

Pls post also a public video to clarify this and that Acorn was not the problem.

I will do. I didnt indicate it was a Centroid issue, note that in the titles I omitted the name for search reasons but happy to edit / remove.
