with any oak cnc12 install you have a choice to install on top of the existing installation or start fresh. sounds like you guys are mixing the two methods together.

i recommend renaming the old working directory of cnc12 and get back to a running machine. as you know it is trivial to simply rename the cncm directory to run any installation of CNC12 new or old. so get back to a running install of CNC12 that you were happy with. copy that entire directory out to a thumb drive and label it in a folder for safe keeping. now run the CNC12 installer on the CNC PC and choose to install on top of the existing installation. this will retain your PLC program and parameters. now if you want to use a new feature that has parameter(s) or plc code associated with it you simply configure the parameters correctly and or add the PLC logic you want and compile. or you can do nothing if you don't want to need any new features that require parameters or plc logic to be set.

and its not true that Acorn user get custom PLC mods for free. or anything custom for that matter.

The wizard for Acorn and Acorn6 was meant with free PLC, because this not insignificant help is not available for Oak and co.

i'm sorry there is no setup Wizard for the Oak and Allin1dc platforms, these products are aimed at advanced legacy retrofit projects. We DO provide Centroid "stock" pre programmed PLC programs for common machine tool setups that you can choose from when installing CNC12. If one of those stock programs won't work for your application then you have a good starting place and can edit the PLC program to suit your needs, we provide the PLC programming tools (powerful open source plc language, free real logic analyzer (PLC Detective https://www.centroidcnc.com/downloads/c ... kstart.pdf) and variable display app to everyone at no charge along with supporting documentation

and how to videos so our customers can do what every they need for a given application, and in addition you always have the option to hire a tech to do the work for you (like Marc or Centroid factory support) if you don't have the time or desire to do it yourself.
