Joey, when I assign ArcOK to an input are there any other operations affected?

Update:

All my marking efforts have been largely unsuccessful. The latest attempt with the ArcOK version on the M64 macro didn't work because it didn't activate quick enough.

I'm now thinking of adding a pneumatic spotting drill to the z-axis for marking small holes. I haven't found much information about controlling the drill with CNC12. Any advice would be much appreciated. I can start a new topic or add it to my build topic if that would be better than discussing it here.

The Lazer XY offset could be a good starting point to make a custom macro to start the scribe on an xy offset. The scribe offset feature is coming soon to Acorn Plasma. Can't give a date but it's high on the list for the next features added to plasma

That’s great to hear Joey, I’d love to get the scribe on my ShopSabre working again. I used it a couple of times with the old WinCNC controller before I retrofit it with Acorn. I don’t see myself using it a lot but it would be great to get it working again just in case.

Joey wrote: Wed Dec 14, 2022 7:13 pm I've done projects with the marking macro and its worked very well. I made just a quick video demonstrating the marking macro. There is barely a mark on the surface. You can hardly feel the mark with your hand. The Hypertherm is really nice because of how consistent the time to fire is. Check out this video ill throw some pictures up.
Joey,

Is this video still available?

I have a Hypertherm 45XP that has a marking setting that specifies setting to 10 amps and using marking consumables. Using the Hypertherm marking function would require a different profile and creating a separate program for marking and then changing the consumables and amps and the profile for the rest of the cutting. I am assuming that M64 is used inline with the rest of the cutting operations but uses the Marking timer instead of the pierce delay in the profile but the other profile settings would be used.

Do I understand it correctly?

Hmmm.... Not sure what happened to my video. I'll look into that

Yes the M64 turns on the Torch for a very very brief moment.

M64 does not use any information from the profile and only gets its delay from the marking timer.

The m64 marking timer is in the profile managers THC config menu.
