Hi Joey,
I cannot run a touch off cycle!
Touch off goes through it's cycle to the point of going down & hitting the float limit and stays there!! no raising done at all!
I even went so far as changing input wiring to #3 instead of #2 and changed in the wizard inputs and no difference!
I unwired the float limits and checked with mmeter and ok, checked for grnd issue on this also and seems ok
after 3+ hrs of this again , I had given up after trying the touch off routine againnn and as has happened before i couldn't jog ANY axis again at that point I made a backup file as attached.
Are there any input electrical tests i can make with a mmeter?
Is all this torch issue related to the torch not be able to be fired? i havn't had any comment on the torch firing issue from anyone?
I appreciate again all your patience and help on this as mine is almost gone......Thanks Doug

Re: New Acorn install help
What type of float switch do you have?
Is there a Breakaway switch assigned?
un assign the breakaway switch in the wizard and try a touch off again. the Breakaway switch must be tripped during the touch off cycle if the fault happens during the touch off cycle before it raises back to the safe height.
Selecting the torch fire on the vcp will trigger the output assigned as torch ON.
If cnc12 is in a fault state then it will not allow the torch to fire.

Re: New Acorn install help
Hi ,
I’m just using a basic limit switch, I checked it multiple times
No breakaway switch assigned
I have NEVER beeennn able to trigger the torch via the vcp! Even with NO error messages.
I can go into Diagnostic menu and force it on
Thanks Doug

Re: New Acorn install help
If you press ALT-I and open the diagnostic screen and then try and fire the torch manually from the VCP does output 2 change state? If it does you don't have something wired correctly. Confirm you have the torch on wires across the COM & NO side of OUTPUT 2. Does this relays LED light turn green when you try to fire the torch?
Can you post which Centroid schematic you followed?

Hi Shawn,
No it does not change state when pressing vcp
Drg.# 14976
Thanks Doug

Re: New Acorn install help
Doug, I just Restored your report on my Control
I see the torch on output in the Alt-I diagnostic menu is forced on. It has a white line under it. Just double click output 2 in the Alt-I menu to remove the Forced state.
The Line under the output 2 circle means it's in a forced state
Output 2 should be normally open or red.
