I think reaching out to Delta would be a good idea at this point. I have no idea what could cause the behavior you are seeing.

I was using H3 or Z all this time, switched over to Y and it works. Acorn board is acting wierd in z, sent Keith an e mail with details. but i noticed that drive reset doesn't have to be wired, so something is wrong on my pin setting or assignments. rethinking drive ok and relays or just seperate axis Ok on input side. any thoughts?

Is this a consistent error? Can you give a screenshot of it? I've not seen this before so I don't know what it could be from this description.

Re:Spindle is weak

Post by donkromer »

I have a durapuls GS20 on a 2 hp bridgeport spindle, speeds are accurate to digital tachometer after adjusting oem vari-drive. spindle slows or stalls under any load, drill or mill. i haven't tried to adjust start torque or start up time. it takes a second or two to get up to speed. i can program around that but feel i'm missing out on full potential when a 3/8 cutter is stalling. Ready to start on second machine as soon as this is fixed. any guidance or recomendations on who to hire to tune this. the delta b3 drive system could probably also be tweaked, but seem to work fine.

Found some notes on set up for voltage, amperage, etc. I'll go through and check what parameters are set at and panic from there. 05-00 motor parameter auto tuning might be the problem. Do you have a baseline set up for the bridgeport available?

always do a factory reset on all drives and vfd's, then go set any parameters. :D

any assistance on setting parameters would be helpful. having my daughter help me set up a thread with pictures etc. just one last thing to be running better and posting a success. I'll download a zip file later today
