Its coming on now, first good movement today and looking good. Acorn makes mach3 look feeble and very fragile. Lot to learn on the changeover though so long way to go.....

Very nice! I noticed you even went with linear rails on the bed. You've been busy. How does it feel to have movement?

Thanks Marty. It's more satisfying than others i've done because i have so much more confidence in this product - everything feels and looks pro. Whereas with mach3 your finger tends to however over the Estop! Oh yes the youtube button, try it next time

Yes, for sure, I felt the same with Mach. You are working with an Industrial control and software. Centroid has a strong vested interest in making sure things work. They have to with thousand of controls operating in the field.

Nice looking build. The video now works perfect. Nice movement very clean build. I thought I heard a small amount of spindle RPM drift, you might want to check the wire size going from the Acorn to the VFD for analog ground and analog out. I had this same problem and the root cause was the wire size for that analog signal was a little too small, for the distance it was traveling. In my case about 8 feet.

I sent you a private message earlier today about you possibly having a part I need for my M-300. I was going to ask how the build was going but I did not want to put you on the spot in case " life getting in the way of fun"syndrome was in effect.
I now see you've been kicking -ss Great progress,looking forward to the video of chips flying.

Again Russ you are right on the money. I heard it myself straight away at that RPM approx 800, however it was only in that rev range that it does it.
So i'm thinking that may be a mechanical anomaly rather than an electronic one??
