Hello Marty and thanx for taking your time!

Im pretty new to the cnc world but eager to learn.

I didnt wire anything to the relay i just left it in the program as it was from stock. Now i have disabled al that im not using.
I only have motors and home limit switches connected to the acorn for the moment as i am still bench testing. I did put the wizard in Leadshine mode and modified it after what i have wired in. But that shouldnt matter?

I have new screenshots report.zip and a new youtube clip with hopefully the machine moving in right direktions.

Although that doesnt really have anything to do with my problem.

The motors still wont turn without me rebooting my drives from initial start or after i press the E-stop.

You only needed to change X. Change Y back. You have Y wrong now. Table closed to you is Y+. Table furthest from you is Y-

Please tell me how you wired your drives. Which wiring diagram did you use?
Please take pictures of your control cabinet and the drives themselves showing the wiring.
Remember we can't "see" what you did and how you wired them.

I have added the schematic thats i went from.

i have dubble checked my wiring on ST1 DR1 EN1 and they all check out.
I only have this picture from my cabinet for the moment, and most of the wiring is temporary so its a mess in there.

I can gett better pictures later.

fredrik, I had the very same problem and found the headers SD1 DR1 and so on was not working I changed to the DB25 socket and got everything working other than X axis homing wrong way.

Have a look at the attached it explains how I connected the drivers make sure you change the header to DB25 port and miss out the enable connections for it to work.

Phil is correct. Centroid now recommends all 5vdc logic drives be connected to the DB25 port. You can buy a DB25male breakout board from Amazon pretty inexpensively.

Going with the db25 was a good tip! This worked pretty good, but i am getting some interference to the limit switches through the db25, they trip and clears back and forth. Have you had that problem also?

Now i wired the limit switches the regular way. But it would be nice to wire them with the db25 because it would be less of a mess in the cabinet.

I too had problems and finally went with a four wire shielded cable from IN 1-4 to a DB9 within the box and gave one input to each signal cable, then outside I left the un-shielded cable to each prox - switch and it works fine other than X is reversed on keypad and have not found a way to change it yet, I am still testing nothing is totally finished yet, I have some spare ports in the DB9 to connect tool touch off and others if they don't interfere but we will see.
Hope it helps you and it is a tidy way to wire within the box.

What kind of limit switches are you using?
Nothing worng with leaving limit switches on Acorn screw terminals and using the DB25 for Axis drives.

Okey, i will do some more testing. What i used now was a shielded cable with four wires and took two of them to the limit switch and the other two to the drive. Im gona test with a shielded cable that got two wires and gett one for the limit switch and one for the drive.

I am using the stock switches that are one the machine. Very sturdy switches. And im getting 0.003-0.004mm accuracy with them so im pretty happy with that.

Run the drives on the DB25 and I/O on Acorn.
