Hmmm - yes, Why didn't I think of that?

I am missing the handwheel piece that screws into the handwheel. That is the piece that you use your fingers to rotate the handwheel. I know I had it when I opened the package - but I have lost it.

Is there anywhere I can aquire that small piece.
It's on the floor, under the edge of the bench right next to the two that I dropped??

I am up to homing switches.

I bought the better proximity switches from EBAY NC NPN 3 wire.
I wired one on my bench and it is working as expected

I will be running all new cabling in my machine

What I need to know is

What AWG wire to use for the homing switches
I also read somewhere not to use Chinese wire, rather to use good stuff

What is the good stuff and where do I get it.
I am assuming 3 conductor shielded cable

Any 22 gauge wire is fine, it you want to up your game use shielded wire and ground the shield at Acorn. :D

Any 22 gauge STRANDED wire is fine. Do not use solid wire for machine tools.

The large majority of cheap Chinese wire on Amazon and others is copper plated steel or aluminum wire. Worthless crap. Buy your wire from Digikey, Mouser, Newark, or any other US distributor that carries reputable brands like Southwire, Carol, Belden, Igus, etc.

You are correct Tom, I thought that was a given but maybe not. I should have been more specific. :D

22 gauge, stranded, machine tool wire is best.

I buy machine tool wire from Southwire and love it.

And if you are in a high humidity area, or especially near the coast, make sure that you use stranded and tinned for less corrosion. Most high grade hookup wire is tinned, as is marine wire.

I looked there - no ciger. I am pretty sure I put in a safe place.

Does anyone know the thread. I have a pile of tiny screws but none that I have will fit. I don't want to damage the fine brass threads in the handwheel. I know that whoever manufactured will know the thread.

Also - in the software - how do I clear out a program so that there is no program. Right now I don't know how to clear the screen and I keep running the stress test by accident

Almost guaranteed to be a metric thread.
