Yes CHIPS can import that...

Your Image is looking good, but not Tool Diameter?

Not yet! First pass is to just allow assignment of pockets to a particular tool number. Second pass will be a complete tool table, on a separate tab.

The Centroid API is pretty simple and easy to work with, so it won't be hard!

If you what you are doing everything is simple, but not for everyone

I seldom know really what I am doing if it comes to coding ;)

I'd be interested to see how it works on the EX controller.
Yeah, the Avid CNC Ex controller, right? I got mine a week ago, and I wanted to setup my ATC with it. The default macros wouldn't work for a proper tool changer, so I started writing my own. I also wrote an app to manage the tool library, in particular what tool is in what "pocket/bin" for an abstract mapping on a regular tool rack.

Attached is a quick image of what I have so far, but I was just thinking about skinning it to match CNC12, similar to what CHIPs looks like they are doing.

Corbin,

Nice work, this is why we created the Centroid APi! putting the power in our customers hands!
Please make a post in the new Centroid APi forum and tell us more about your app! -Keith

I like it!
I really like the consideration and provision for diode laser as a tool. A couple of questions in that regard:
1) Will that particular tool number be set, much as #10 is for a probe?
2) The offset for the laser caught my attention. I really like that. Which leads to my last question.
3) Consider that some of us use multiple laser heads (I have three). I don't know how to handle that, but it might be worth considering in the design phase.

Now would probably be a good time to research the different types of drill banks and panel saws found on production router tables.

There will usually be an XY offset.
Drill banks may or may not have a solenoid output for 90-degree rotation (align with X or align with Y).
Drill banks may be all-or-none, or may have individually-selectable drills.
A panel saw may or may not have a solenoid output for 90-degree rotation.
There are probably lots of other variations that I have not yet encountered....
