Dear Hugo,

Great how you converted an Emco lathe with an Acorn control.
I also have an Emco Turn 55 machine, and I also want to equip it with an Acorn control.
My question is:
Is it possible to get your electrical schematic? I don't really see where all the cables and encoders go. You took good pictures, but I would like to know how the cables are connected.
Would you like to help me with this?
Thanks in advance for the effort.
Best regards,

Hello CNC Keith,

Thanks for your replay. The link for the video's are very useful but I'm looking for how to connect the encoder from Emco itself.
I'm trying to upload a photo of the Encoder, but it's not possible. It's the same one Hugo has in his Emco.

Hope you can help me out with this.

Regards,

Rinus

Best
I have a problem and want to ask you for a solution.
My lathe (Emco55 turn) and I also have an Acorn control.
I connected my VFD (Lenze 8200) to the motor (3 phase 230V)
Whenever I try to run the motor, the motor has power but doesn't spin.
On the Acorn error screen "5038 Specified spin speed< min spin speed" or "311 Waiting for memory#16 (M101)
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I am very grateful if someone can help me.
Thanks in advance, Rinus
