I am in the process of converting my 3040 Cast Iron Chinese Router.
As the title says, the specs are:
3040 Cast Iron Gantry Mill/Router (around 350lbs)(Metric 1605 Ball Screws)
Acorn Board (original Rev2 board I bought before covid and never had a chance to use until now)
Full ADSA-B2 Servos (400 W)
Jianken 2.2kw ISO20 Spindle
Home made 16 tool ATC (The reason for the Centroid conversion)(Servo Motor Driven)
I hope to learn more about the setup and operation of the Acorn Board from you all. The capabilities far surpass the DDCSv3.1 that I am replacing. I made a lot of parts with the DDCS and was happy with it, but I am ready to take the machine up a notch. It is a hobby/light duty production machine. I own a cabinet factory in Vietnam and I use this as a 2nd opp machine.
So far I have started arranging the wiring in the cabinet, have programmed the servos, and set up the wizard for basic functions.
I will put together a Google Folder for all photos, but here are a few photos of what I have so far.
Looking forward to getting this thing changing tools by itself here real soon.
Thanks for looking.
