Hello Keith,
Photos of the machine are in this album: https://share.icloud.com/photos/024FTPS ... 7zsWxCfaQw
Stepper motor drivers are Gekko G-214.
Thanks so much for taking a look.
Please let me know if you need more information.
Thanks again,
Mike

Re: X-Axis will not jog after homing.<NOT Resolved>
The spindle encoder error is probably due to the back-up battery going dead in the Willtec tachometer display. I replaced the battery in the Willtec tachometer back in January, but couldn’t figure out the instructions or data sheets, as my copy was in German.
I emailed Willtec and they sent me a copy in English. Still can’t figure out how to get rid of a trailing zero. The tachometer reads correctly if you ignore the last zero. I checked this independently with a digital tachometer.
All of my problems started after the tachometer battery went dead and I replaced it. I know I have to sort that out too in order to program spindle speeds. Also have a geared head machine with three ranges, so I haven’t attempted to add that yet in the CNC Wizard.
Thanks again for taking a look. Appreciate everything.
Regards,
Mike
Not sure if that has anything to do with the current problem, but everything worked fine before this. You helped me in February sort out another homing and failure to move afterwards with the Z axis in February.

Re: X-Axis will not jog after homing.<NOT Resolved>
Think I may have found the problem. There was a loose wire one of the X axis motor driver terminal strips.
Will check the rest of them and put everything back together.
Thanks Keith for the photo request. I haven’t opened up the electronics enclosure before. Original owner showed me photos of it.
Will report back later.

The loose wire seems to have been the problem. Everything working perfectly now.
Thanks again for all of the help.
