Receiving PLC error messages on new installation

Post by dandonegan »

I previously had my Hurco MD1 running on CNC 11 without the tool changer working. After a few starts and stops on getting the tool changer working I'm serious about it now.

I rewired my machine to bring it up to match the current drawing S14817 dated 170125 Rev 3.
LC program Centroid-Standard-Mill-ALLIN1DC-ATC-Umbrella-r7.src
Machine ID 008DC111213-0608151312
Software Version 12-v420-D

When I boot up the machine I get the following messages.

Unidentified PCC message (99)
Unidentified PCC message (30)
Unidentified PCC message (36)

Here is a link to some photos of the machine and the controller.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dan

You apparently did not install the "plcmsg.txt" file that belongs with the PLC source file you chose. That being the case, you might be missing other supporting files as well. What procedure did you use to install the PLC program?

When I loaded the new software it asked if I wanted to install a PLC program. I selected the above program out of the tree that the install program provides.

Should I install the missing file and just see what happens or is there a way to know if there's anything else that I missing?

Thank you very much for the help. Great with machines but the programming part definitely pushes my abilities.

You should post a Report here. Then we could look to see what files are in place, and which are wrong or missing.

If you used the PLC installer that is part of the CNC12 v4.20 install package, and it did not install a complete and matching set of files, then that is something Centroid is going to have to address.

Your installation is missing all of the custom M functions (e.g. mfunc6.mac, mfunc18.mac, mfunc80.mac, mfunc81.mac etc.). It is also missing the message files (plcmsg.txt and cncxmsg.txt).

Apparently Centroid has not finished making the "Centroid-Standard-Mill-ALLIN1DC-ATC-Umbrella-r7.src" package ready for prime time. You need to contact Centroid support to get the appropriate files to go with the PLC program you have chosen.

Interestingly, the missing files are present in the mpuplcprograms folder in the v4.20 installation package.

Download and install the attached ZIP file, using F7/Utility -> F2/Restore Report to install a complete set of files for the PLC program package you are trying to use.
