we do something similar at HQ, the cabinet is mounted on a steel frame with wheels the resembles a heavy duty artist easel that way the work is at a comfortable height and you can see things better.

Re: RPauli Plasma Build pics, Beta test Centroid
Fought an issue with drivefault whenever jogging the z-axis. Loaded MSP software confirmed the HLFB was set to Servo on. Tried rewiring, no luck. In the beginning of this retrofit I had ordered a CNC4PC C86 board Ver3 for Clearpath to Acorn. Figured what do I have to lose but a couple hrs. Rewired, installed BOOM everything worked like a champ. The only difference I noticed is the C86 board you wire Blue, White, Black into the step/dir/Ena terminals, versus on Centroid's use of yellow, brown, org , simply a plus versus a negative selection. So due to that I had to set all four axes to rev direction I had previously set. Tomorrow I will update to latest version, and hook up hypertherm to TX board, and the torch fire output, then see if Keith has any time to help on voltage calibration.
User of C86 tip, take the two plugs out of Acorn board, open screws 100%, then place them on C86 board and tighten, then carefully slide both plugs in, pushing firmly on bottom corners of C86 board.

Ps, thanks to Jeff Colden, he gave me quite a few tips, suggestions to try, and Keith at Centroid.

I hadn't been monitoring this forum.
YES, C86ACCP handles the HFLB signals elegantly, you found that out. The board does work well. I would use it again in a heartbeat if doing another Clearpath system.

Re: RPauli Plasma Build pics, Beta test Centroid
We are cutting finally!
Had a difficult time getting my torch cut height to equal .06" . Ended up adjusting measured float switch of .032 to .075 and it's perfect and repeatable.
Thanks to JeffC advice on the offset.
Test cut .25 HRS 45a Hypertherm 45XP BOOK SETTINGS
If using an XP45, make sure you check cut info, it's slightly different than the 65-80 settings.

Bob,
thanks for the new photos and videos!
what is the RAS clearpath setting being currently used on the Z axis drive/motor?
please post a fresh report.zip. -k

Re: RPauli Plasma Build pics, Beta test Centroid
You should be using the pc as a dedicated CNC pc, there’s really no need for Wi-Fi or internet after you first set it up. It can just cause unwanted problems as you found out. Did you look at your error log? What are you seeing there?
