Does the probe input on the Acorn have a contact debounce filter built in?
I ask this because Renishaw mentions this in some of their literature and that accuracy is improved if you can filter out the bounce that is present in a kienmatic probe output. Here is a sketch that describes what I'm talking about:
I also found a white paper on Renishaws site that has a good discussion of how a kinematic touch probe works.

I suspect that if the answer is "yes" then I'd have to get Centroid Ultimate CNC software.
