All,
I've been bringing up a machine with 2 rotary axes and clearpath servos.
Everything was working great for a few days in terms of jogging, motion via MDI, etc. All axes homing and moving as expected, everything was functional.
At one point however, I hit the "save changes" button on the wizard, it closed the wizard and UI, and I restarted the controller and PC.
When I try to launch the UI, I get an error "PLC Program Checksum Error". Controller has heartbeat, UI just won't launch.
There isn't much setup involved and I would not hesitate to reflash firmware if necessary.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? What would the fastest path to resolution look like?
Thanks and regards,
- Austin
EDIT: I'm without the ability to generate a report as I have no access to the UI. Is there a way to generate a report without this?

Re: PLC Program Checksum Error
Look in the c:\cncm directory.
Locate any file that begins with "acorn" and ends with ".src".
Also locate the file named "mpu.plc".
Pack those files into a ZIP file and post it here.

Hi cncsnw,
Zipped .src and mpu.plc are attached.

Re: PLC Program Checksum Error
Update: Resolved by reinstalling CNC12. Simple enough, must have lost power at a bad time.

Re: PLC Program Checksum Error (RESOLVED)
Same thing happened to me !
I reinstalled CNC12 and all worked again but my tool libraries and some but not all Wizard settings were missing.
Had to re measure all my tools and label them.
It was a good refresher but took time.
Fortunately I had taken many screen shots with my IPad for my PM940M Clearpath conversion.
Before entering the new data I updated to 4.20 .
The crash I believe was related to shutting down power to recycle the Acorn board while dealing with a frustrating Drive Okay problem I have been unsuccessfully troubleshooting since I started the build last Autumn.
I finally resolved that and will post a new topic for that.
This is my first entry into the forum.
Mill appears to be a fully functional "BattleStar" now.
Now I have to learn to use CAD/CAM as I have used MDI ,MANUAL WIRELESS MPG and CONVERSATIONAL AND CUSTOM G CODE TO
program and utilize the mill.

Re: PLC Program Checksum Error (RESOLVED)
Look into Fusion 360 then. Extremely powerful and easy to use and free for hobby and startup users. The modern CAM toolpaths will blow hand coded and conversational g code away and the CAD is relatively easy to pick up.
I would expect that you could have recovered your missing tool libraries etc from a report. IIRC, these are autogenerated periodically and can be found in the report backup folder.
