Steppers out A6 Servos in

I am replacing the Steppers on XYZ on my mill now with A6 Servos, since I am happy with them on A and C.

750W with brake on Z

400W on X and Y

Ready mounted now and power is supplied, no magic smoke, no blown RCD

Next Step is to tune them as fast and stiff as possible with the new A6 software, then to tune the loop with the scales in CNC12 for minimum following error.

The small HTD3-36 wheels are not working with clamping sets with 14 and 19mm servo shafts, so I used Loctite and set screws.

Tomorrow I will solder the DB44 plugs to connect with Acorn Six...

Machine is running, but not ready fine adjusted....

Still adjusting...

First was to adjust the gibs and the bearings of the ball screw

Second tune the closed loop regulation in CNC12

Third tune Stiffness and Position Loop Gain in the servo driver.

Then loop second and third.

First try was +-0.01 mm, now it is +-0.003 mm but not as good as I want it to be

Besides this I am happy with the servos, super silent even without fiddling around with the notch filters and now I have 10000 mm/min rapids, stepper was 4000mm/min max reliable
