I just purchased a new sync 45. I don't want to do something stupid. Are the arc transfer wires used? I understand the divided voltage (thc) and the torch on and off.
Thanks

Re: Hypertherm sync 45 hook up question
The THC will act as your ARC OK/ ARC Transfer.
But Hypertherm Recommends using their ARC OK/ ARC Transfer For the most accurate Pierce delays.
I usually like to hook up Hypertherm's according to their recommendations.

Re: Hypertherm sync 45 hook up question
You can reference the Everlast arc okay connection.
https://www.centroidcnc.com/dealersuppo ... 195.r1.pdf
There's 2 arc transfer pins on the hypertherm cnc communication port. One will connect to Acorns Com. The other will connect to the Acorns Input
Pin 12 and 14 on the Hypertherm CNC Com ports are the ARC transfer pins.
Connect pin 12 to the Acorns Common.
Connect pin 14 to the Desired Acorn Input Just assign the input as arc ok in the wizards input definition menu

Re: Hypertherm sync 45 hook up question
One other question. Pin 13 on the powermax is a ground pin. Should I contact that to the ground on acorn.

Re: Hypertherm sync 45 hook up question
That should be connected to the shield on the Hypertherm CNC Com cable.

Re: Hypertherm sync 45 hook up question
Ok. It's cutting!! Every thing seems fine.i have a question about book setting voltage VS actual voltage. I'll start a separate thread.
Again, thanks so much.
Mike
