Re: Help... Let Me In!
Thanks. Is there a way to see from the report file which parameters are NOT the default figures?
Also, where does the 5.08 installer back up all the old settings/files. I thought I read that it no longer re-names the old folder?

Re: Help... Let Me In!
No, you must know which parameters you changed by hand on the current installation.
I always keep track of my changes.
The installer renames only the current installation.

Re: Help... Let Me In!
Got it. Thanks.
Re: Help... Let Me In!
If you have a report_*.txt file from before the update, and you make one from after the update, then you can use a side-by-side file comparison utility to see what values were in the old report that are not in the new report. Is there a way to see from the report file which parameters are NOT the default figures?
You still have to know what the parameters mean, and when they matter, and whether your old value is or is not more appropriate than the new value; but that does at least give you a way to scan for things that are different.

Re: Help... Let Me In!
Thanks for all your help! Upgrade went fast and works great!
Question.... If I don't want the rapids and feed rate to be adjusted separately...Is there a way to synch them together and make it work like it used to?

yes, pick any VCP skin that doesn't have the word rapid in it.
or edit your custom VCP to match those same related lines in any Centroid provided VCP skin that doesn't have the work rapid in it.
