Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
The Cabinet is pretty tight with the TX board.
Did you try your idea of disconnecting the THC kit?
Might have to get the TX board and divided voltage wires out and away from the Cabinet.

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
We got the THC turned completely turned off in the software and disconnected the DB9 from both the Acorn CNC and the THC. We now have cut 4 good parts in a row. Now the questions is do I have a bad THC board?

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
The Arc voltage lines coming into the cabinet are not shielded.
They are most likely bringing interference into the cabinet.
The interference is most probably eminating from the TX board.
Move the TX board as far from the cabinet as possible. The TX is fiber opticly isolated from the RX board for this reason

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
Moved board no change
Also I have always had the arc voltage lines in cabinet and the cuts r consistent I would think interference would be sporadic? Idk pulling my hair out lol

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
so moving it didnt help because thc is not the problem aparently i set the torch hight to book setting changing if from pierce height
if i keep the two numbers the same no problem if they r diffrent then i get problem

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
So your saying, in the profile, if you change the pierce height or the target voltage you will loose steps?
Check out the other cut charts CNCM folder.
Profiles folder Path is C:\cncm\resources\plasma\profiles
The Profile manager reads from the profiles folder. To switch cut charts change the name of the desired cut chart to "profiles"

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
so loaded the scyn profile proablay a good thing but still same problem havent doen anything with target voltage only pierce hight and cut hight if those 2 numbers dont match then i loose steps

Re: instaled THC now loosing steps
Surprising. Your have the latest 5.08 instal correct? I'd try a new install.
Selecting Ctrl-p when on the wizard will print the wizard settings for easy setup on a fresh install. You can print to PDF and saave the wizard as a pdf file also.
These issue just don't make sense
But good on you for narrowing it down to the cut and pierce height. You must of been trying everything
