My guess is that he wants to know if he can get CNC12, without VCP, to occupy the full width of a wide-screen monitor, rather than have the right quarter of the display vacant.

Thanks, that's exactly what I mean. In an emergency I will switch to the old-fashioned resolution so that cnc12 is displayed in full screen.

widescreen Monitor
widescreen Monitor
cnc12 in resolution 1024x768 doesn't look nice and also has graphic errors. Loadmeter area.

cnc12 by itself is a 4:3 ratio program not wide screen.
edit for clarity.
but will run on a wide screen you will just see part of the desktop on the right.

cnc12 with the VCP is wide screen 16:9 ratio

I think it's 2024 and not 1995. I don't know that I could buy a 4:3 touchscreen monitor anywhere. I think you could invest time in redesigning cnc12. But now I remember, I only bought an Oak and not an Acorn or Acorn6. The fault is of course mine if I expect something for my money.

not sure what the issue is here but, i'm willing to help you figure it out.

we have many users running oak/allin1dc/mpu11 CNC12 on a 1920x1080 screen with no problems.
with or without the VCP

it looks like this. at 1920x1080
cnc12 on wide screen monitor.png

Note: even if you have the Hard Operators Control Panel ( i assume you do?) you can still use the VCP if you want, they can work in conjunction with each other, i prefer this since its pretty cool to use the VCP to add custom buttons for functions you want to use all the time and delete the stuff you don't want etc..

see this thread with examples of users customizing the VCP.

I don't need VCP, everything I need is already programmed on the real control panel on the aux buttons. The vcp cannot replace an optimal user interface or hide the shortcomings. That might be enough for a hobby, but not for a business. It's a shame, but I'll have to accept it.
