Motherboard replacement

Well, the Holidays were not without drama this year. I went down to the basement last Thursday to do a little lathe job and the computer would not boot. As the Gigabyte GA-M68M motherboard was 10 years old, it seemed like a good opportunity to update.
The Athlon II processor did not meet Centroid's new minimums and the gargantuan 25GB SSD was also 10 years old and both were slowed down with 4GB of ram so a whole new system was in order. The setup on the mill was identical so it got replaced as well even though it was still working.
Two new ASUS Prime B450A-II motherboards with Ryzen 5-5500G processors, 16GB ram, and new Samsung 870 EVO 250GB SSDs were delivered by Amazon overnight. Some small modifications were needed to the SSD\graphics card mount to clear the larger processor fan, but overall it was a great $300 upgrade to each machine.
