Fault 412 z axis encoder differential error

Post by Bevan »

I am doing a retrofit using CNC 12 loaded on the computer from Centron with an oak board. I am using DMM DYN5 drivers. I have use the DMM technology set up for setting up my encoders . I have done my bench test and have the base things hooked up. when I go to MDI, I have had several codes, but managed to get rid of all but fault for 12 code ZE axis, encoder, differential air. I have the feeling it has something to do with my parameter settings.
I went back and re-calibrated my Z driver, and it seem to be OK. this is the first time I’ve used this forum. I hope you can give me some advice on where to look.

More likely the issue is with your axis interface cable, that connects the DMM drive to the Oak axis header.

On the PID Encoder screen (F1/Setup -> F3/Config -> "137" -> F4/PID -> F3/Encoder), after you press and release emergency stop to clear any previous errors, check the "DQOA" column for each axis. Do all axes have a '1' in the 'D' column -- indicating an encoder differential error -- or does only the Z axis have a '1' in the 'D' column?

Let me go back with more information I I powered up my machine today PLC came up running with heartbeat CNC 12 came up screen XYZ axis no DRO readings the warning machine home not set then machine set up not complete machine not ready contact dealer. System ID 0008 DC 111213–0808221353.
Vault window 412 X axis encoder differential error
Vault window 455X axis, encoder, quadrant air
Fault window 412 Y axis encoder differential error
Fault window 455Y axis, encoder, quadrant air
Full window 412 Z axis in encoder differential error
When I try to clear codes and use the clear code button, it goes from red to white, but does not clear the code when pressed again, if I press reset, and then cycle the E stop, the code cleared I then went to the MDI window and all the faults showed back up Same situation Back to set up and all the codes showed back up> exited CNC 12 came back in same thing. And I.
I went to the PID screen shows
Axis. Error. Sum. Delta. Pid out. Abs pod.
X. 0. 0. 0. Off. -2
Y. O. 0. 0. Off. -3
Z. 0. 0. 0. Off. 1

DQOA. X. STD. 110
Y. STD. 11O
Z. STD. 100
I do not see a D column

Err count. - XYZ
Scale POS 0. XYZ
Type DQOA. None. 0. XYZ
DRR count —. 0
Err. Correct 0

I hope this will help you help me. Let me know what you think and we’ll go from there.

You might check that you have +5V on your encoder connections. It could be that you have a power supply that failed and none of your encoders have power.
Cheers,

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
