Defeating A Limit Switch Input On The DC3IOB
Limit switch inputs may be electrically defeated by either jumping the input to the input common or by using the Limit DIP Switches on the DC3IOB. Both methods are electrically the same.
Defeating Limit Switch Inputs Using Limit DIP Switches:
Using the Limit DIP Switches, a limit switch is defeated by setting the appropriate switch to
the UP position. Setting the switch to the DOWN position, enables the limit switch and will
prevent motor motion when the input is open.
In the photo below, the X+, Y+ and Z+ limit switch inputs have been defeated by setting the
X+, Y+ and Z+ switches to the UP position.
Defeating Limit Switch Inputs By Jumping The Limit Input To Input Common:
Limit switches can also be defeated by jumping any of the limit switch inputs to input common on H21.
In the photo to the below, the X-, Y- and Z- limit switch inputs have been defeated by jumping the
input(s) to input common.
