Touch probe KP3 issue

Post by saulsd »

Hello,

when I plug in my KP3 touch probe indicates that is tripped, red light is always on. I have OAK control board, continuity from the plug to the MTP3CBL PCB is Ok, when plug in the cable to touch probe I only got continuty from RED cable to SHIELD and if trip the probe with my fingers to verify that it is working it remais the same.

Is my touch probe damaged? Can it got fixed?

Please reference the KP3 manual.

The MTP3CBL has active circuitry and will not confirm a trip with a simple continuity test.

A simple way to check the state of an input, is to press ALT+I from the CNC12 home screen. There you can see the state of all inputs and outputs.

One more thing you can check is the fuse labeled F10 right next to the probe connector on the OAK Mainboard. If it is blown the probe won't work.
