Re: Wanted; turret encoder for Hardinge CHNC2
My encoder seems to work although I have some questions about the truth table. I had planned on taking off the magnet holder but the screw may have ben Loctited in...I wanted to spin the turret and see if the diagnostic lights worked for the 4 positions and they seem to work but not according to this table...my inputs are 19 20 21 22

If they don't match the table, swap the wires around until they do.
Cheers,
Tom
Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Wanted; turret encoder for Hardinge CHNC2
The table comes from the Centroid Retrofit of Hardinge dated 2004 - I consider it just a reference. Based on the fact it is using different INPUTs for the hall cells vs Todays ALLIN1DC, is not time to start swapping wire. I will have to position my turret to all the positions and compare what I get to the table shown above. I have started to fill out what my INPUTS produce but am not finished.
My assumption is that when I finish mapping my turret, the change to the table will be renaming the header line with the INPUTs that the current ALLIN1DC uses...i.e. INPUT 7 >>INPUT 19 etc.
